Greg Branch is brand strategist and lead copywriter at AMPM, Inc. in Midland, Michigan. He was creative director at Princing & Ewend for 22 years, after turns as a partner in a small agency, a writer/designer in a big agency, an in-house designer/writer/editor for a major hospital, a college sports information director, a public relations practitioner and a newspaper reporter. Not to mention editor of his college newspaper … and things like 7-Eleven clerk and, yes, even a vacuum cleaner salesman. He has won awards as a writer, designer and broadcast director.

He is past president of what is now the American Advertising Federation-Great Lakes Bay Region, and a past chair of the national AAF Council of Governors. He also served two terms as mayor of the City of Saginaw, Michigan.

When Greg started writing advertising, state-of-the-art meant sticks and clay tablets. For over 40 years, he never seemed to run out of new ways to say things. Greg unexpectedly passed away in 2019 after serving as AMPM’s brand strategist for eight years. His quick wit, gentle demeanor and talent with words is sorely missed, but we are all grateful to have worked with and called him our friend.
